Is cloud telephony only for businesses?

This is really an interesting question. Is Cloud telephony only an enterprise version of phone calls, whether through voice or data. It's may be possible that many people having their own thought about cloud telephony, but I think differently from others. It's all because of my long experience in telecom industries and that's the reason of my thought differently than others.

I only believe in that customer needs are satisfied with the products already mentioned in this thread. Cloud telephony is not just for enterprises or businesses. An Individuals can also use it for personal use but in that case cost advantage wouldn't be that much as comparative to businesses. Means cloud telephony used by all entities but it's cost and conditions may vary.

I want to give an example for it that will helps to understand it simply -
Let's suppose you're a celebrity & want to share your message or visiting card or personal blog address to everyone with whom you meet. Eventually you are going to share your number with thousands of other people and at a certain point it will going to be a headache receiving so many useless calls or PR calls (if you happen to be a prominent blogger). In this case cloud telephony will definitely help you in managing your calls more effectively. because cloud telephony gives more services & solutions like missed call number services, toll free number services and other cloud telephony services.

Actully I think that Cloud Telephony' is too broad a term, but is generally referred to the shifting of business IP PBX solutions to the cloud. As this is happening, providers such as Skype, Vonage etc., are already offering person-person IP calls from the cloud.
